Drift, Nocturne For Highways (Digital Score & Parts)

$70.00

~8:00

The idea for this piece came to me when I was driving home one night.

I was listening to some Daniel Ceasar, and as I went through my playlist

I was thinkin about how much I was enjoying the vibe. I thought about

how I could translate this into a band piece, and “Drift” was born. The title

serves as a double entendre, referring to drifting as in driving, and drifting

as in the mental state you’re in when driving alone and listening to music at

night. A lot of people like to do that to just think and clear their mind. The

music takes inspiration from several of my favorite artists, some more

direct influence than others. Some of these artists include,

Tyler, The Creator

SZA

JID

Denzel Curry

Saba

Kendrick Lamar

J. Cole
